Missing You

By: Meg Cabot

Book 5 in the 1-800-Where-R-You series

Jessica Mastriani has never been normal. Then she was struck by lightning and had an excuse to be different. That’s because when she was struck by lightning, Jess got psychic powers and the nickname “Lightning Girl”. After that, Jess was able to find the locations of any person, dead or alive, by just glancing at a photograph.
For a while Jessica helped the FBI find missing children, but then the war started, and her country needed her. She was sent overseas to find some of the world’s deadliest terrorist, until she lost her powers, along with the name “Lightning Girl”.
Now Jess is living a pretty normal life. She is living in New York with her best friend, Ruth, and will be returning to Juliard in the fall. She even has a summer job teaching kids to play the flute. Yes, Jess has a pretty normal life, but when the former love of her life, Rob, shows up on her door step, Jess must forget normal and face her past.
I have never been a fan of books about vampires or psychics or witches. It’s just not my style. But when I read the back cover of the first 1-800-Where-R-You book I knew that this series was different. And I was right!
Missing You was better than the first 4 books combined. I couldn’t put it down and fell in love with the story from page one. I was able to see Jess in a whole new light and I am happy with what I saw. It’s really hard to say why I liked this book without spoiling parts of the story. I loved this book because of the story. It had humor and adventure, and it was very addictive. It was impossible not to love.

My favorite part of the story was when Jess was helping Rob.
