After a few months back home, Maddie Chase and her aunt Sid have another adventure, and another article, ahead of them. Sid and Maddie are heading to Papua New Guinea where an Aids epidemic is seizing the island. As the girls work on the article, they wonder if it will even help. This beautiful land has a problem that seems impossible to fix. Can Maddie find a way to help?
This book was extraordinary and just as great as the first. But for this book it’s hard to describe why it is so great. I am completely in love with Maddie and I think readers will fall in love with her too. She is really down to earth and I love how she has her faith. I think she is a great character to relate to, and maybe even a great role model too.
I still really love how much these books remind me of a travel guide. It’s incredible to get to learn about an amazing country, to read about its past and its traditions, and to read a great story in one book. With all of that it’s impossible to put down.
My favorite part of the story was the descriptions of the traveling.
